Working for us

When you join Community Housing, you begin a relationship with us that we hope will be fulfilling, exciting, challenging and rewarding.

We expect the best from our teams and in return, we offer a generous package of benefits, holidays, working conditions and opportunities for career development.

We do well when you do well, and to help you achieve your potential, we carry out a Personal Progress Review on an annual basis with follow up meetings, at least quarterly. We will assess your training needs and discuss opportunities for training and skills development which may include mentoring, external training courses, educational courses which will lead to a formal qualification or using on line learning facilities, to fit in with your working day.

You will have access to a range of support services, should you need assistance including free medical or legal advice and professional counsellors.

And if you need extra help because of a disability, mobility or sensory impairment, we can make the necessary arrangements to meet your individual needs and requirements.

We operate a flexible working policy to support work/life balance options and improve the accessibility of services to the community. The options available will depend on the job (some jobs may be excluded on operational grounds) but we will try to support flexible working wherever possible. Our Family Friendly policies include Maternity Leave, Paternity Leave, Parental leave, Adoption Leave, Carer's Leave and Special Discretionary Leave.
