Tenant Voice provides a link between tenants and the governing body to present a collective voice for tenants ensuring that they have meaningful involvement in service design and delivery and in strategic decision making.
Tenant Voice meets each month, and membership is open to all tenants, shared owners, and leaseholders.
It is an unpaid role, but members can claim expenses for travel, internet charges, carer, and childcare costs.
Positions on Tenant Voice are advertised when vacancies occur, and appointment is through an informal interview process. We have developed a role profile and person specification which explains the sorts of skills we feel are needed.
But you don't need to be an expert in housing to apply. You just need to be enthusiastic about representing the diverse groups that we serve and be keen to learn.
We provide training for members and make sure that there are opportunities to attend conferences and events to learn more about what is happening across the social housing sector.
