As part of the 10 year anniversary celebrations that took place throughout 2010, The Community Housing Group invited residents living in Sheltered Housing Schemes to enter an art competition and create a collage or picture of what life is like in their scheme.

The entries were amazing and really demonstrated how talented and creative the residents are. The artwork has been displayed in a "window" made by Bespoke Joinery Services at The Community Housing Group’s Foley Grove headquarters.

Visitors were invited to vote for their favourite "scene" and although voting was extremely close, the residents of Adams House, Kidderminster were the overall winners of the £100 prize. They are absolutely thrilled at clinching the top prize and will now decide how to spend the money.

The other entries were so impressive they have all been awarded a special category prize, such as 'Best poem' and 'Best portrayal of social activities'.

Ray Brookes, Chief Executive of The Community Housing Group, said "This competition really shows how proud the older residents are of where they live. All the entries were absolutely fantastic".
