Queens Road and Linden Avenue, Stourport
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving housing for our customers, Community Housing have been assessing our stock at Queens Road, and we are looking to redevelop the area.
Our proposal includes the demolition of the existing parade of shops and maisonettes/flats above and replacement with 18 new homes for affordable rent and shared ownership. You can view our proposed site layout here.
It is proposed that the land at Linden Avenue is sold as a replacement site for the existing shops at Queens Road. This would be sold as a development opportunity and would not be managed by Community Housing.

Demolition of the three high-rise blocks has now been completed by our appointed contractor DSM Demolition.
Our planning application for the development of 70 new homes consisting of a mix of houses and walk-up flats has been approved.
We have appointed GP Thomas to construct the new homes. A pre-start meeting was held in July 2026, and they are due to start on site in October 2026.
