Vestia Community Trust (part of The Community Housing Group) in partnership with Wyre Forest District Council Street Scene, West Mercia Police, Wyre Forest Community Safety Partnership and residents of Broadwaters, has successfully achieved the Cleaner, Safer, Greener Neighbourhood Quality Mark for the Broadwaters area for the second year.

Keep Britain Tidy, the environmental charity that supports the Cleaner Safer Greener Quality Mark carried out a detailed inspection of the area and remarked that there was “A strong working relationship with partner agencies that understands the importance of maintain a clean, safe and green neighbourhood and are positive about the changes that have been made”

The award is only given if there is evidence of continuous improvement and the involvement of Broadwaters Residents Action Group (BRAG) helped to demonstrate there has been a positive impact on the quality of life within the area.

Sarah Rook, local resident and BRAG Chairman “We are absolutely delighted with being awarded the Quality Mark. This is a real boost to everyone who has been involved in the project and we see this very much as a starting point. As a community there is a lot more we can achieve but it does need everyone to play their part and get involved”

Marina Banner, Executive Director Vestia and TCHG Group Director of Corporate Services, said “This award is fantastic news for Broadwaters, and has demonstrated what can be achieved when the community gets involved in these types of initiatives. This has provided a great blueprint for similar projects in other areas of the district”.
