We are delighted to announce that Karen Lowry-Hall has made it through to the final three in the UK Apprenticeship Champion Award 2013.
After winning the West Midlands region award, she competed with ten other regional winners in a public vote to become a finalist.
The Apprenticeship Champion of the Year category seeks strong advocates of apprenticeships who have been an apprentice themselves. Karen’s success showcases how she has promoted apprenticeships and has made exceptional achievements since completing her own apprenticeship.
Karen still needs your vote to win. If you haven’t voted for her yet, you’re not too late. Voting closes on Friday 18 October 2013 at 3.00pm.
If you have voted, thank you ! Unfortunately, you can’t vote again but you can help by encouraging colleagues, suppliers and even friends and relatives to support her as the West Midlands representative.
The Community Housing Group is also on course to represent the West Midlands at the forthcoming National Awards in November 2013. We face tough competition against the 10 regional winners such as Boots Opticians, ITV, Barclays RBB and Kiers Ltd.
All the West Midlands winners will proceed through to a final national judging stage, and the Apprenticeship employer entries that were judged to be the very best of the best will have the additional honour of featuring in the acclaimed England’s Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list, which will be produced by NAS in partnership with City & Guilds.
The Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and the national award winners will be revealed during the opening ceremony of the UK’s largest national skills and careers event, The Skills Show, at the NEC in Birmingham on 14 November.
