Latest assessment revealed a success for Care24

Care24, part of Wyre Forest Sheltered Housing, is pleased to announce that they have successfully met the latest regulations set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

This assessment covers resident care and welfare, safeguarding from abuse, quality of service provision and the support of workers.

Care24 provides home and personal care services for older and vulnerable people across the Wyre Forest, and are regularly inspected and monitored to assure that they meet the standards stipulated by the commission.

Their experienced staff are professionally trained to care for people in their own homes and provide practical help and support.  Working with the guidelines set out by the CQC, carers assist with daily tasks from dressing and bathing, to cleaning and shopping.

CQC is the governing body for the regulation and inspection of all health and social care services in England.  They ensure that all care homes, hospitals and all other care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high quality care, encouraging them to make any necessary improvements.

During the assessment, the CQC spoke with service users and their families, and received extremely positive feedback about the service, including comments such as: “I couldn’t wish for better” and “the staff are reliable and effective at meeting my mother’s needs”.

Head of Care Services at Wyre Forest Sheltered Housing, Nigel Fain said: “We are delighted to have achieved the high standards the CQC set, with the report providing us with some fantastic feedback.  This is great news for the company, and is a testament to our hard working staff”.
