Through on going support of the Kidderminster Harriers, The Community Housing Group has donated match tickets to five local primary schools within the Wyre Forest for the second year running.
Each school will receive 10 adult tickets along with 20 child tickets. It provides young people and their families with the opportunity to go along and watch their local team whilst experiencing the excitement and thrills of a live sporting event. It will also hopefully inspire them to not only support their local team but get involved in recreational sports themselves.
Mark Searl, Commercial Manager at Kidderminster Harriers Football Club, said: “We are pleased to help support The Community Housing Group’s initiative to supply local schools with tickets for matches. The club plays an integral part in the community and hopefully those receiving the tickets will have an enjoyable afternoon with us.”
The feedback from last year was overwhelming. One of the teachers from St Mary’s Primary School in Kidderminster said: “They really enjoyed being able to go and watch the football. It’s something that they would not normally be able to attend and they were thrilled at being able to participate in a live sporting event.”
Ray Brookes, Chief Executive of The Community Housing Group commented: “ Partnerships like this are an important part of our Corporate Social Responsibility agenda. It will enable more children to enjoy a live sporting event and will present young people with an experience they won’t forget. Not only are we supporting a local business and local football team, but the promotion of healthy living and live sport.“
