'Stourport pupils' project lands laptop

Burlish School

Delighted youngsters at a Stourport school were jumping for joy when they were presented with a laptop for their work on an anti-social behaviour project.

The year six pupils, of Burlish Park Primary School, have been working with Neighbourhood Warden, Kevin Roy, on the impact of anti-social behaviour in their community.

It is part of a scheme run by Wyre Forest Community Housing, in which wardens have delivered assemblies and class lessons in more than 20 schools.

They have been teaching youngsters to respect vulnerable groups in the community. Mr Roy said: "Anti-social behaviour affects us all and these youngsters work really hard at trying to understand how anti-social behaviour affects different groups in the community".
