Wyre Forest Community Housing’s (part of The Community Housing Group) Neighbourhood Wardens and West Mercia Police jointly hosted an event giving out crime prevention and personal safety advice to the public.

Everybody braved the extreme cold the area experienced in January to host the event at the Swan Centre in Kidderminster town centre. It was a great opportunity for both the Neighbourhood Wardens and the Police to inform the general public and tenants on how to keep safe.

During February, the Neighbourhood Wardens attended other events to promote home security and offer free security products to the community.

West Mercia Police and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service joined the Wardens at St Anne’s Primary School in Bewdley to hand out purse alarm bells and collect applications for free property marking labels.

Later on in the month, window locks and door hangers were handed out to the tenants at Purcell House, Habberley during a crime prevention session held at the Sheltered Housing Scheme.
