The first of two new play areas in the Wyre Forest was officially opened last Saturday, 4 April 2015, by Kaye Law-Fox, the new Chair of Wyre Forest Community Housing, Rod Wilson, Chair of Oakleaf Commercial Services and Julie Morris, Chair of Bewdley & District TCC and Chair of the Tenants Federation.
The park in Tudor Road, Bewdley needed a refresh and has been recently refurbished by Oakleaf Commercial Services. Designed for the under 11s, it has a modern rubberised flooring which provides local children with a safe area to play. The park now features plenty of colourful play sets including two-way springers, climbing ramps, slides as well as a swing which has a ‘nest seat’ which is designed for more than one child to play on.
Keith Burgess, Executive Business Manager for Oakleaf Grounds Services, said: “It’s great to have a area where the local children can get out and play safely together. It benefits not only the children, but the local community as a whole and as well as improving health and wellbeing, it encourages families to get out and about in the fresh air.”
