Kidderminster based, Oakleaf Commercial Services (OCS), celebrated success this weekend at the Regional Site Manager Awards on Friday, held by the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Warranty.

The award for the West of England region was presented to Derek Colley for his management of the new Broadwaters development in Kidderminster.  The development which is now complete consists of 19 properties, featuring 8 one-bed apartments, 1 two-bed bungalow and 10 two bed houses.  The site had restricted access but OCS and Derek took extra steps to ensure that disruption to the residents was kept to a minimum.

The Site Manager Awards recognise and reward Site Managers working with LABC Warranty who achieve excellence in construction, and in doing so, demonstrate exceptional site management and workmanship. The judges look for an assertive leader who is forward thinking and can demonstrate good organisation skills and safety processes, whilst maintaining a clean and tidy site, and creating a positive culture on site amongst other requirements.  Derek’s management of the site was commendable and there was a high level of detail in the construction.  He now goes forward to represent the West of England region in the finals in November 2015.
