Sheltered Housing Scheme helps premature babies keep warm

Hornbeam House Knitting Club

Residents of Hornbeam House, Bewdley have set up a knitting club to provide clothes for premature babies.

The Wyre Forest Sheltered Housing Scheme have been knitting since June 2009 in order to donate a variety of baby clothes, such as bonnets and cardigans, to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital for babies that are born before the 37th week of pregnancy.

The wool has been brought using money donated by different sources. So far the club has received contributions from the Co-op Supermarket in Stourport, Julie and Andy Forsdick from Bewdley and Wyre Forest Community Housing (part of The Community Housing Group).

Members of the Hornbeam House Knitting Club are extremely grateful for the money they have been given, and in turn have been doing a fantastic job for such a special cause.
