Wyre Forest Sheltered Housing (WFSH), part of The Community Housing Group, has successfully negotiated a contract to deliver support to older people throughout the local area.

The contract has been awarded by the Worcestershire Supporting People Team and is a major achievement for WFSH’s Support24 service. Not only will they continue to be the main provider of quality support in theWyre Forest, but the contract has also secured more than 60 jobs for the next 3 years.

As the partnership develops between WFSH and the Commissioner of Services in Worcestershire, it is hoped that further opportunities will be available for WFSH’s care and support service in the future.

Mr Glyn Edwards, Development Manager for Supporting People and Community Services, said: “I am very pleased with the negotiations that have been held with Wyre Forest Sheltered Housing and am confident the service will provide continued value for money, whilst delivering excellent services to older people in the Wyre Forest.”
