Wyre Forest Community Housing, part of The Community Housing Group, has successfully achieved the Warden Charter for services provided by the organisation’s Neighbourhood Warden Unit.
The wardens provide a highly visible reassuring presence, working with all sections of the community to promote social inclusion, tackle anti-social behaviour, improve access to local services and to be seen as a trusted friend within the community.
The Warden Charter is a national assessment that demonstrates the quality of warden services and ensures local excellence. It has been developed to show how efficient and effective warden schemes are, and that they provide a quality service that local residents can get involved with.
The independent assessor complimented Wyre Forest Community Housing in a number of key areas, including involving and supporting residents, working with other agencies and demonstrating reduced rates of crime in the community.
Ray Brookes, Group Chief Executive said “The Charter is a fantastic achievement for the Neighbourhood Wardens, and highlights the excellent work the Wardens do for local residents and the community”.
