Mrs S grew up in a very desirable rural part of the district. She watched as house prices around her continued to rise, putting the possibility of owning her own home outside her reach and was resigned to having to leave the area. However, when she heard that one of our new developments would contain a mix of rented and shared ownership homes, 2 streets away from where she grew up, she was one of the first people to buy “off plan” – before the properties were even built.  She has now settled her family into their new home and describes the experience of owning her own home with the help of shared ownership as life changing.
