On Thursday 29 August, members of our Tenancy Management Team attended the Big Picnic family event held at Springfield Park. This event is proving to be very popular and is regularly attended by many families living within the Horsefair, Broadwaters and Greenhill areas. The event is organised and largely funded by ‘Big Local DY10 Project’ who organise free events throughout the summer holidays for parents and their children between the ages of 0 to 16.
Along with other local organisations, we have regularly supported this event and contributed towards food, refreshments and activities, allowing the families to have some quality time together at no cost, and it allows us as an organisation to engage with our customers.
The afternoon, once again, proved to be very busy and our Neighbourhood Wardens, Meryl Triplow and Garry Brookfield, were both on hand to answer any questions or give help and advice to our customers where needed.
Members of CVAG (Customer Voice and Assurance Group) Joyce Hopkins, David Cater and David Fletcher were also in attendance, conducting a brief survey around customer satisfaction as well as feedback and suggestions, which will prove to be extremely useful. You can follow the group’s progress and receive regular updates by accessing their page on our website at https://www.communityhg.com/community/cvag/
The competition for ‘Guess the name of the teddy’ was won by Scarlett Chesterman and ‘Guess how many sweets were in the jar’ was won by Jake Douglas. For more information and photos of the event why not visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/TCHGHousing/
I would like to take this opportunity to say a ‘Big Thank You’ to the organisers and staff of BIG Local DY10 Project and all our volunteers and staff who gave up their time to help make the day a brilliant success.
