Berrington Court, located on the Silverwoods development in Kidderminster, was described in the report as a community based extra care facility that supported residents to have maximum choice and control of their lives

The 100 bed Scheme, built in 2016, is owned and managed by Kidderminster based The Community Housing Group (TCHG), the leading social housing provider in the Wyre Forest.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. They make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage care services to improve.

The report said: "People were supported by staff who were kind and caring and people's equality and diversity needs were respected. People's support needs were assessed regularly and planned to ensure they received the support they needed”.

“The management team had good oversight of the service and audits were completed regularly. Surveys were completed to gather information about people's views. Spot checks were carried out to ensure the quality of the service was maintained”.

Katie Schofield, Executive Manager of Independent Living Services for The Community Housing Group, said: We’re delighted to have been recognised as a ‘good’ facility. It’s been a challenging year, but our staff have worked tirelessly to maintain the excellent standards of care we provide to our residents, and we’re really pleased with the positive feedback we continuously get from customers and their families”.
