On Thursday 24th November The Community Housing Group (TCHG) were recognised at the Worcestershire Ambassadors’ Corporate Social Responsibility Awards.
In front of more than 150 guests the Group were announced as the winners of the Community Award for their work in supporting a local community group.
In 2009 Broadwaters Residents Action Group (BRAG) was formed to undertake the Keep Britain Tidy – Cleaner, Safer, Greener programme to improve the local area with help and support from TCHG.
In conjunction with TCHG, BRAG has continued to make Broadwaters a better place to live by organising community tidy days, launching a campaign to reduce anti-social behaviour and securing funding to refurbish the local play area.
A special recognition award was also made to Sarah Rook, Chair of BRAG for her commitment and dedication to the local area.
Phil Dutton, Chairman of the Worcestershire Ambassadors, said: “Being able to recognise and applaud these champions of our community, many of whom have too often gone unrecognised is very important”.
Marina Banner, Executive Director Vestia and TCHG Corporate Services, said: “We are thrilled with the award as both BRAG and TCHG, have worked so hard to improve the area and have made such a positive difference to the community and local environment”
