We have been made aware that there has been an increase in “scam” telephone calls to customers from companies using 01437 or 0161 dialling codes.  They claim to be from Community Housing and may ask you for personal details about your income or your home.

If you are suspicious of a caller, ask for their name and contact details so that you can verify them and ring them back.  Do not give them any information straight away. If they are legitimate, they will be happy to give you their details.

If you are still not sure if they are legitimate, contact us on 0300 003 5454 and we will check for you.

At present, we use a company called IFF Research to carry out customer satisfaction calls when a repair has been carried out. They will be happy to give you any information you need to verify that they are working on our behalf.
