Community Housing has launched a new Wellbeing Fund to help customers in crisis.
Grants of up to £250 are available to support customers who are facing financial hardships as a result of an emergency or due to the cost of living increases. They can be used for purchasing furniture or white goods, help with utility costs, shopping vouchers or help if customers have fled domestic abuse.
The application process is quick and easy with an online form on the website or by speaking to a Neighbourhood Coordinator or other member of the Community Housing Team.
Decisions are made quickly so that help can be given as soon as possible.
Matt Cooney, Chief Executive explained “We recognise that these are difficult times for many households and so we wanted to provide quick, practical assistance but also to help customers to access other areas of funding and support. Our Tenancy Sustainability Team will work with customers to check benefit entitlement and signpost them to where additional help could be available”
