We are pleased to announce that our Development Team has completed our new housing scheme at Cotswold Close, Birchen Coppice, Kidderminster.  

This scheme continues our strategy to regenerate our unused garage sites and has created another 3 new bungalows for rent.  To date, the Development Team has redeveloped 18 similar garage sites providing 86 new affordable homes for our community.  The team has active plans for a further 12 sites providing another 44 new homes.  

Cotswold Close was built by our own Community Housing new build team. Our apprentices were heavily involved in the construction providing them with much wider skills experience than traditional maintenance services.  The scheme commenced in May 2021 and completed in May 2022, and one of the new homes included some bespoke alterations to suit the specific needs of a customer.

Infill schemes present many challenges, and we are therefore especially grateful to both our Site Manager, David Taylor, and Lee Goswell, our Development Coordinator, who between them have managed the project to a safe and successful conclusion.  Their effective coordination and management of our in-house teams of plumbers and electricians, and our supply chain contractors has delivered excellent outcomes for all.
