Congratulations to Sue Ireland, resident of Arch Hill Court and her friends and neighbours who were awarded the Peoples Choice award at this years Bewdley Festival Duck House Trail competition.

Sue decorated the wooden blank (created through the Emily Jordan Foundation) to create a magnificent Royal Castle, fit for a King and Queen.

It took her nearly 3 months to complete due to the intricate decorations and the hand made “plaster” to give a realistic stone effect.

Sue was also assisted by colleagues, Karen Phillips and Sue Gowen who encourage residents to take part in arts and craft sessions to improve wellbeing and reduce social isolation.

Members of the Bewdley Festival Committee came to Arch Hill Court on 8 November 2023 to present the hand made wooden award which will stay at Arch Hill Court for the next two years.

“I am so thrilled that we have won” said Sue “this is for everyone at Arch Hill Court, the best move I ever made over 15 years ago!”
