Over 30 of our customers joined us for a Learners Celebration Awards presentation at Berrington Court, to celebrate their achievements during the last year. They had attended one of the IT or mobile phone courses, that have been run in co-ordination with the Heart of Worcester (HOW) College.
The courses, organised by Tina Browne from the Customer Engagement team, were designed to help the participants not only learn new skills which would help them to access information digitally, but also to help them to overcome social isolation and make new friends.
We were very proud to show a short video of some feedback from learners which had been featured at the National Housing Federation Conference in the Summer. As a thank you, the video stars were given a special award by Catherine Cole, Director of Homes and Communities.
Finally, thanks were given to tutor, Richard Round from HOW College and to Sue Houghton from the Berrington Court minibus fund who provided transport for those who would otherwise be unable to get to these courses, and of course, to the team at Berrington Court for allowing us to hold the courses there.
We hope to be running further courses in the new year. If you are interested in finding out more, then please contact CustomerEngagement@communityhousing.co.uk
