Our Technology Enabled Care Services (TECS) team is thrilled to announce that they are finalists in the Housing Digital Innovation Awards in two categories.
Most Innovative Partnership
Platform Housing Group (PHG) asked Community Housing TECS to provide bespoke technology assessments and ongoing training and support for their project team during their TAPPI demonstrator project. We worked alongside PHG's project team to design an innovative older person’s service model in one of their flagship schemes. The project has been a great success, with the residents now better connected and living more independently through the use of technology.
Most Innovative Approach to Resident Welfare
For our Fitbees and Falls Prevention projects. The ‘Fitbees’ project saw us partner with Tendertec, the University of West England, HFT and Kymira to deliver an outstanding example of co-development. Combining Tendertec’s innovative ‘Hestia’ heat sensors, Kymira’s cutting edge smart clothing with Community Housing’s fantastic tenant engagement to develop an app for older and marginalised people to support them in their health, wellness and social aims. Together we drew down Innovate UK funding, and, led by our tenants, we have produced an app that meets their needs, both for wellbeing and its accessibility.
The winners will be announced on Thursday 8 February 2024 at the Housing Digital Innovation Awards ceremony, which is taking place at Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham.
