We are pleased to announce the transfer of our Community Housing Technology Enabled Care Services(TECS) service to Taking Care, part of AXA Health. This strategic decision allows us to focus on our core social housing activities while ensuring customers continue to receive high-quality telecare/lifeline alarm services.
For over 30 years, Community Housing's TECS services have been at the forefront of telecare and assistive technology provision in the UK. The transfer to Taking Care, a dynamic and innovative force within the TEC market, will ensure a seamless transition and maintain the quality-oriented service built around individual needs.
"Over the years, Community Housing has been deeply committed to the development of Technologically Enabled Care Services. We've worked tirelessly with customers and their families to ensure they can safely maintain independent living in their own homes for as long as possible. Our services have not only benefited our residents but also private customers and corporate clients, delivering lifeline services to over 25,000 customers.
We take great pride in our achievements, the projects we've developed, and the partnerships we've fostered to enhance our customers' independence and quality of life. Our dedicated colleagues have been instrumental in this success, forming strong bonds with our customers - from birthday wishes to providing companionship during challenging times.
While these services are incredibly important to people and their families, we recognise that as a housing association, we are not TEC specialists. To elevate these services to the next level, they require the investment and expertise of a specialist provider. After careful consideration, we have selected Taking Care based on their outstanding track record. We are confident they will continue to deliver high-quality services to our Community Housing lifeline users and other TEC customers and partners, while also driving further improvements." Matt Cooney, Chief Executive of Community Housing.
Taking Care has a proven track record of helping people stay safe in their homes. Their commitment to delivering personalised care with high levels of empathy aligns perfectly with Community Housing's values and customer-centric approach.
"We are delighted to welcome Community Housing Group's TEC Services customers to Taking Care,” said Steve Gates, Managing Director of Taking Care. “This transfer aligns perfectly with our strategic plans, allowing us to expand our reach and impact while maintaining our unwavering dedication to providing exceptional care and support."
Taking Care, a subsidiary of AXA Health, has been providing technology enabled care services for more than 30 years. Since 2008 alone, they have helped 170,000 people stay safe in their homes, supporting customers and their families across the UK. As a collaborative partner, they ensure Technology Enabled Care (TEC) secures positive outcomes for people, supporting them to live healthy and independent lives whilst reducing the demand on supported services.
