We’ve been supporting Asbestos Awareness Week with a campaign to keep our colleagues informed of the safe processes and procedures we have in place to deal with asbestos.

It’s a great opportunity to enhance our existing training and share information about the advances of tackling asbestos in our homes.

Some of the information we have shared has included:

·         What asbestos is and its health effects

·         Where asbestos is found

·         How we know whether a material contains asbestos

·         Protecting our trades

·         Emergency procedures.

It highlights to trade operatives, our expectations and what they can and cannot work on, and how to implement the emergency procedure as well as who and how to escalate it.”
