Our First Winter Wellbeing Event

On Wednesday 17 September, we held our first Winter Wellbeing Community Event on the green space between Linden Avenue and Old Ford Walk on the Walshes Estate in Stourport.

The event was all about helping you and your family stay warm, well and supported this winter. It was also a chance to come together as a community.

People had the chance to meet and chat with both a local town councillor and a Wyre Forest District Councillor. Our own Neighbourhood Coordinator was also there, ready to listen and answer questions.

We also had someone on hand to talk and provide advice about any repairs, damp and mould issues. Whilst we also had Citizens Advice who could provide guidance on money matters and extra support available this winter.

We were pleased to welcome Healthwatch, who shared information on local health and wellbeing services. Act on Energy also joined us, giving tips on how to save energy and reduce bills, as well as Barnado’s who came to provide advice.

If you could not make it this time, please remember that support is still available. Our teams and local partners are here to help you through the colder months.
