Community Housing has published a new Environmental Plan for 2025 to 2030, setting out how we will protect the environment and create better spaces for our communities.

The plan includes our commitment to reduce carbon emissions, improve outdoor spaces for wildlife, cut waste, and make our offices more energy efficient. We will be using more electric and hybrid vehicles, planting native trees and flowers, and installing solar panels to generate clean energy.

We are also reviewing our garage sites and small plots of land to see how they can benefit local communities. These spaces could become community gardens, allotments or locations for electric vehicle charging points.

The Environmental Plan is part of how we run our business more efficiently while caring for the environment. It includes clear targets, such as cutting vehicle carbon emissions by 10% and improving our repair services so we can fix more things on the first visit.
