On the 31st March 2026, Home Choice Plus will close, and Wyre Forest Home Choice will become active.
Applicants and customers can register for Wyre Forest Home Choice from 3rd February 2026. Properties won’t be advertised on the new system for bidding until the 31st March.
Wyre Forest Home Choice will let you auto bid on properties as well as get notifications of property listings. It will improve the user experience on different internet browsers (such as Chrome or Edge) and make it easier for mobile phone users. This will make the system more efficient for everyone.
Applicants need an email address to register. If you don’t have an email or have difficulty accessing the internet, help is available from Wyre Forest District Council Housing Advice Team.
If you are currently registered on Home Choice Plus then any previously uploaded files such as ID will not be automatically transferred onto the new system so you will need to upload these documents again as part of the re-registration process.
If you register by 31st March 2026, you will keep their banding and band start dates, as long as your circumstances have not changed.
If the details given at the new registration (such as current address) are different to your Home Choice Plus details, the band will be reassessed.
Banding names will change as the new system is introduced:
Priority will now be Band A
Gold Plus will now be Band B
Gold will now be Band C
Silver Plus will now be Band B (No local connection verified)
Silver will now be Band C (No local connection verified)
Reduced Preference will now be Band D
Bronze Plus will now be Band E
Bronze will be Band E (No local connection verified).
The Wyre Forest Allocation Policy will be unchanged from the Home Choice Allocation Policy except it will apply to only the Wyre Forest.
