Community Housing  is pleased to announce that we have joined The Charity Shop Gift Card scheme which is an innovative initiative that helps people access quality, affordable goods at charity shops across the UK.

We know that moving into a new home can be expensive, especially for those on a limited income so we have been looking at new ways to support customers at the very start of their tenancies. By providing Charity Shop Gift Cards to those who need them most, we can help ensure that any financial support we can offer goes as far as possible.

The cards can be spent in participating charity shops on everything from clothing and kitchenware to furniture and small electrical appliances.  Each card works just like a regular gift card, giving recipients the freedom to choose what they need, with dignity and without having to explain themselves to shop staff

The scheme also supports our environmental commitments and goals as buying second hand keeps quality items out of landfill, as well as supporting local charities.
