Over 50 customers gathered last week to celebrate their vital role in shaping services at Community Housing during a special afternoon tea event, the Customer Influence Celebration, held at Wharton Park Golf Club, Bewdley.

The event, organised and hosted by Gill Mooney and Lisa Fisher from the Customer Engagement team, brought together customers who have played an active part in influencing and improving services across the organisation. Guests enjoyed an afternoon of entertainment, including a lively performance from Ally of The Bluebird Belles and a fun-filled quiz that kept everyone engaged.

Senior representatives from Community Housing were also in attendance, including Chief Executive Matt Cooney, Board members Ann Bennett and Clare Jackson, Directors Catherine Cole and Andy Plant, and Heads of Service Katie Smart, Mel Bailey and Phill Heales, highlighting the organisation’s commitment to recognising the voice and impact of our customers.

A key highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of customer awards, celebrating individuals who have made exceptional contributions. Among them, David Cater was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his remarkable dedication, having spent more than 25 years helping to shape and influence Community Housing’s services.

Speaking at the event, Community Housing representatives expressed their gratitude to all attendees for their continued involvement and invaluable insights, which help drive improvements and ensure services meet the needs of customers.

The celebration served as a meaningful opportunity to recognise the difference customers make and to thank them for their ongoing support and commitment.
